Curtain Fixing in Al Ain, Level the First Time
Long tracks. Straight lines. No sagging middles.Al Ain windows are big — majlis walls, double-height stairwells, villa living rooms four metres across. Our curtain installers bring the ladders, the laser level and the right anchors for solid block, so the rail runs true from end to end and the room is finished the same day.
Complete Curtain Fixing Services in Al Ain
Rods, tracks, rails, blinds and everything that hangs from them. Whatever you have bought and however wide the window is, these are the curtain fitting jobs Al Ain books most — each quoted upfront and finished in the same visit.
Home Curtain Fixing
Flats and townhouses in Al Jimi, Al Mutarad, Al Khabisi and Asharej, where the walls are solid block and a cordless drill will not get through them. We fit rods, double tracks and blackout linings room by room, then dress the pleats so the curtain hangs the way it did in the shop.
Villa and Majlis Curtain Fixing
This is the Al Ain job. Villas in Zakher, Al Muwaiji, Al Towayya, Falaj Hazzaa and Al Hili have majlis windows five or six metres wide and stairwell glass two storeys tall. Long tracks get brackets every 60 centimetres so they never bow in the middle, and heavy lined curtains are anchored into block, not into a plaster skim.
Office Curtain Fixing
Offices around the city centre and Asharej, clinics, nurseries, school and university buildings, and units out in Sanaiya that need glare control before the term starts. We work evenings and weekends so nobody loses a working day, and we clear building permission where the management asks for it.
Decor and Blackout Curtains
Sheer and blackout on a double track, pelmets, valances, tie-backs and swags. Nowhere in the UAE needs a proper blackout layer more than an inland Al Ain bedroom in July — and it only works if the fabric overlaps the frame generously on both sides rather than stopping at the glass.
IKEA Curtain Fixing
Drove back from the coast with a flat-packed rail and found the plugs in the box make no impression on an Al Ain wall? That is a call we take every week. We bring proper anchors and a hammer drill, assemble the rail, join or shorten it to fit a wide villa window, and hang the curtains you already own.
Blinds and Roller Curtains
Roller, roman, zebra and vertical blinds installation in Al Ain, fitted inside the recess or face-fixed above it. Blinds shed the desert dust far better than heavy fabric, which is why so many Al Ain kitchens and majlis windows end up with them. Chains are tensioned, safety clips screwed down, and the blind squared so it rolls true.
The Curtain Installers Al Ain Calls Back
Curtain fixing in Al Ain fails for a different reason than it does on the coast. Here the wall is rarely the weak point — villa block and concrete will hold almost anything, provided you own a hammer drill and a masonry bit that has not already been blunted. The weak point is the span. A majlis window five metres across carries a lined curtain heavy enough to bow a rail that has only three brackets in it, and once a track starts to sag in the middle the gliders bind and the curtain stops running.
So we bracket for the weight, not for the box. Long tracks get supports every 60 centimetres or so, joined properly where two lengths meet, with the ends anchored into solid block rather than the plaster return beside the window. Two-storey stairwell glass gets a taller ladder and a second fitter rather than a chair and hope. And the whole run is set with a laser level, so it is straight against the ceiling line instead of straight against a window opening that was never true to begin with.
The same team has been fitting curtains, rods and blinds alongside our moving crews in Al Ain since 2012, which is why so many of these bookings arrive the week a family collects the keys to a villa. The price quoted from your photos is the price you pay, the dust is vacuumed before we leave, and if a bracket ever works loose we come back and put it right.
What Every Curtain Fitting Includes
How Your Curtain Installation Works
Four steps from your first photo to a room with the curtains up — usually the same day.
Send Photos of the Windows
WhatsApp 054 597 0017 with a photo of each window, the rough width of the widest one, and whether you already have the rod, track or blind. That is enough for a firm price — no site visit, no survey fee.
Get a Fixed Price and a Slot
You get a price per curtain, per rod or for the whole villa, plus a fitting slot — today, this evening, or the weekend. Nothing is added later, and nothing is charged if you decide not to go ahead.
Measure, Mark, Drill
The fitter sets the height and the overlap, marks the bracket spacing along the run with a laser line, and drills into block with dust protection down. Wide spans get the extra supports they need before any weight goes on the rail.
Hang, Dress and Clean Up
Curtains go on, hooks and rings are spaced, the pleats are dressed and the track is run end to end to prove it glides. The dust is vacuumed, the packaging leaves with us, and you see the room finished before you pay.
Why Al Ain Books Yahir for Curtain Fixing
Curtains are the last job in a new villa and the one that makes it feel finished. Get the span wrong and you spend the next two years pushing a curtain that will not glide past the middle of its own track.
Built for the Span
A five-metre majlis track needs more than the three brackets in the box. We add supports along the run and anchor the ends into solid block, so a heavy lined curtain glides from one end to the other for years rather than months.
We Bring the Height
Al Ain stairwell glass and double-height living rooms are beyond a household stepladder. Our crews arrive with the tall ladders and a second pair of hands, so the job is done safely in one visit rather than abandoned halfway up.
One Price, No Surprises
The figure quoted from your photos is the figure on the invoice. No call-out fee, no charge for the drill bits we wear out on your block wall, and no discovering halfway through that the rail suddenly needs expensive extra brackets.
Curtain Fixing Cost in Al Ain
Curtain fixing in Al Ain starts from AED 150, and the price is agreed from your photos before the fitter is dispatched. The table below shows what most jobs cost; a full villa is quoted as one figure, confirmed on WhatsApp and unchanged afterwards.
| Number of Curtains | Fitters | Typical Price |
|---|---|---|
| 1 curtain or blind | 1 | 150-200 Dirham |
| 2 curtains | 1 | 200-300 Dirham |
| 3 curtains | 1 | 250-400 Dirham |
| 4 or more curtains | 1-2 | 350-500 Dirham |
What Shapes Your Curtain Fixing Price
How Many Windows
One bedroom window is a single call-out. A whole villa is a day’s work, and the per-curtain rate drops accordingly — it is always cheaper to do every room in one visit than to call us back three times.
Width of the Run
A bedroom rod is quick. A five-metre majlis track with a sheer and a blackout on a double rail needs joining, extra brackets and more time on the ladder, so it sits at the upper end of the range.
Ceiling Height
Standard rooms are one fitter with a stepladder. Double-height stairwells and tall entrance glass need a bigger ladder and two people for safety, which is the one thing worth mentioning when you send the photos.
What to Know Before You Hang Curtains in Al Ain
Start with the geometry, because it costs nothing to get right. Fix the rail ten to fifteen centimetres above the window and let it run fifteen to twenty centimetres past each side. On a normal bedroom window that stops the light leaking down the edges; on a wide majlis window it also gives the curtain somewhere to stack, so when it is open you see glass and garden rather than a bunched wall of fabric covering a third of the view you paid the rent for. In villas with high ceilings, running the rail close to the ceiling instead of just above the frame makes the whole room feel taller.
Then the heat, which is the real reason Al Ain hangs curtains at all. Inland summers here run hotter than anywhere on the coast, and a west-facing living room with a big glass front will cook from two in the afternoon until sunset no matter how hard the AC works. A thin sheer alone will not touch it. The setup that works is a double track: a sheer for daytime privacy, and a properly lined blackout behind it that overlaps the frame on both sides. It keeps the room cooler, it keeps the sofa from bleaching, and it is the difference between waking at five and sleeping until six.
The wall is the last piece, and in Al Ain it is a different problem from the coast. Villas in Zakher, Al Muwaiji, Al Towayya and Falaj Hazzaa are block and concrete: they will hold anything you put in them, but a cordless drill and a cheap bit will polish the surface rather than cut it, and the plug that came in the box is the wrong length anyway. What actually fails here is the span. A five-metre track carrying a lined curtain will bow in the middle if it only has the brackets that came in the packet — and once it bows, the gliders bind and the curtain stops running. That is why we bracket for the weight, not for the box.
Curtain Repair and Rail Re-Fixing
Not every job starts from scratch. Curtain repair in Al Ain is half of what we do: a long track that has bowed and jammed, gliders that have snapped under the weight of a heavy majlis curtain, a roller blind whose chain has jumped its mechanism, a rod that needs shortening or joining for a different window. We add the supports the run should have had in the first place, re-anchor the ends into solid block, replace the broken parts, and re-hang the curtain so it glides properly again.
Moving In or Moving Out?
Curtains are the first thing you want up in a new villa and the last thing you take down in the old one. Because we are also movers in Al Ain, both halves can happen on one booking: take the curtains and rails down at the old address, make the holes good, then refit them at the new place the same day. Sell whatever you are leaving behind to our used furniture buyers in Al Ain, add professional packing for the rest, and the whole handover is one visit. We cover Al Jimi, Al Muwaiji, Al Towayya, Al Mutarad, Al Khabisi, Zakher, Al Hili, Al Foah, Falaj Hazzaa, Asharej, Al Jahli, Al Qattara, Al Maqam and out to Al Yahar.
Curtain Fixing Across the UAE
The same fitters, the same fixed prices and the same tools work in every emirate: curtain installation in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain.
Curtain Fixing in Al Ain: Your Questions, Answered
How much does curtain installation in Al Ain cost?
Curtain fixing starts from AED 150 for a single curtain or blind, AED 200 to 300 for two, and AED 350 to 500 where four or more windows are done in one visit. Wide majlis tracks and double-height stairwell glass sit at the upper end. Send photos on WhatsApp and you get a fixed price before anyone is dispatched.
Can you handle a five-metre majlis window?
That is the most common job we do in Al Ain. Long runs are joined properly where two lengths meet and bracketed roughly every 60 centimetres so the track cannot bow under a lined curtain. Skimp on the supports and the rail sags, the gliders bind, and within a season nobody can pull the curtain past the middle.
Do you supply the curtains, or only fit the ones I have?
Most customers buy their own curtains, rods or blinds and call us to fit them, and the price above is for that. Brackets, screws and wall plugs are included. If you would rather we sourced the rail or track — useful for wide majlis runs, where the right system matters — send the window widths and we will quote the material separately.
Can you install IKEA curtain rails and rods?
Yes — IKEA curtain Fixing Al Ain is one of our most common jobs. We assemble the rail, join or shorten it to your window, and replace the plugs in the box with anchors and a hammer drill that will actually make an impression on a block wall. Flat-pack hardware is designed for European stud walls, which is why so many of these rails defeat a cordless screwdriver here.
Which is better for the Al Ain heat, curtains or blinds?
For heat and for sleeping, a lined blackout curtain on a double track wins — the air gap behind heavy fabric is what keeps the room cooler. Blinds win on dust and on windows you open often, which is why kitchens and majlis windows in Al Ain often end up with roller or zebra blinds instead. Plenty of villas here use both, and we fit either.
My curtain track has sagged and the curtain will not pull. Can you fix it?
Yes, and it is the most common repair we are called out for here. The cure is usually extra brackets along the run and re-anchoring the ends properly, plus replacing whichever gliders have snapped. If the track itself has deformed we will tell you honestly that a new rail is the better spend — send a photo and we will say which it is.
How quickly can a curtain installer reach me in Al Ain?
Often the same day. Send photos in the morning and a fitter can usually be with you that afternoon or evening, seven days a week, anywhere from Al Jimi and Zakher to Al Hili, Al Maqam and out toward Al Yahar. A full villa is normally booked for the next morning so we arrive with two fitters and the tall ladders.
Can you take the curtains down when I move out?
Yes. We take the curtains and rails down, make the holes good, and refit them at the new address on the same booking — usually the same day, since our moving crews are already at the villa. Tell us both addresses and we will quote the removal and the refit together.
